About 'Import
Corrected List'
When using the list correction
import/export utility in MailTracker, it expects the same format upon
importing. MailTracker exports the id, and all addressing fields. When
the corrected file returns (regardless of which service is used)
MailTracker expects the same fields.
The file that is returned to you by a service (like listcleanup) could
have a few problems making it impossible to import directly using the
MailTracker utility. Here is what needs to be done to the file you
receive.
Using MS Access
1. Open MS Access and create a new database.
2. Go to File | Get External Data and locate the .dbf corrected file.
3. Open the new table. You will notice that they updated all fields with
the corrected information, except the ZipCode field. They created
another field called MNSZIP10 and placed the appropriate zip+four zip
there. They also added extra fields.
4. Go to design mode, delete the ZIPCODE field.
5. Rename the MNSZIP10 to ZIPCODE. (Now the field with the corrected
zips are renamed ZIPCODE)
6. Delete all the extra fields they added.
7. You should have a table now with the following fields:
ID
COMPANY
FIRSTNAME
LASTNAME
ADDRESS
ADDRESS2
CITY
STATE
ZIPCODE
8. Close table, select table, go to File | Export.... Save as .dbf file.
Make sure name matches the original MailTracker export name.
Using MS Excel

the corrected information, except the ZipCode field. They created

utility.
